Hila Baggio is one of the most successful, critically acclaimed and sought after sopranos in Israel. She regularly performs at the Israeli Opera and frequently performs in oratorio concerts and lieder programs in many countries.
Some of her recent Opera roles include Norina (Don Pasquale), Gilda (Rigoletto), Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice), Giulia (La Scala di Seta), Marie (La Fille du Régiment), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), The Child (The child dreams), The Vixen (The Cunning little Vixen), Despina (Cosi fan tutte), Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Frasquita (Carmen) and more.
Hila performed with all Orchestras in Israel and has sung under the baton of distinguished conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Frédéric Chaslin, Laurence Cummings, Dan Ettinger, Gabriel Feltz, Asher Fisch, Emmanuel Joel, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Oren, George Pehlivanian, Matthias Pintscher, Sebastien Rouland, David Stern, Karl-Heinz Steffens, Omer Wellber, Jonathan Webb, Kerry Lynn Wilson, Alberto Zedda and others.
She has already won many prestigious international awards, including 2nd prize in the operetta category at the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition in Vienna, Minister of Culture Award, Silverman Prize, Grabov Award, Basser Award, America-Israel Cultural Foundation, Rosenblum Prize, Israel Vocal Arts Institute Foundation, and Tel Aviv Academy of Music Vocal Competition.
Hila's debut single Gush Forth My Tears (part of the acclaimed Allergy To Consciousness singles series) is a Madrigal written by William Holborne in 1597. In this version, Hila sings all the vocal parts. The recordings were later "treated" by Dub Mentor.
Hila is currently working on her debut album, scheduled to be released next year.
